Update for Mom

Here ya go! I got nuthin'! No really, it's been a busy few days. John and I celebrated our 7th anniversary on Monday. It was a bit of a comedy of errors, with John cutting his thumb pretty badly, then burning his opposite index finger. We were quite the sight!

I can't sleep tonight. As I post this it is 12:30 and I know I need to get to bed asap, but I just can't stop my mind from racing. Not about anything really specific, but many, many things. I am sad that my very best friend is moving 6775km away to Inuvik, NWT. I am excited for her and her family, but sad for myself that she won't be 45 minutes up the road anymore.

Ok, enough rambling. I NEED to get to bed. Hopefully, I can just drift off quickly. Wish me luck!

Cheers!

Corbin's First Day!

It's nearly over as I am typing this, but I wanted to post a few pics before Corbin gets home. Today was his first real day of school. Daddy, Aeva-Grace and I walked him over to the school after lunch for his first day of junior kindergarten in Mrs Pelow's class. Corbin was ready to go! New outfit so he would be handsome for his new friends - check! New indoor shoes with name written inside - check! Backpack fully loaded with his BEE book, aforementioned shoes, and snack - check! He could not wait to leave! I, of course, needed pictures first!

All lined up and away they go!

I will admit, I did cry, as did Aeva-Grace. We are counting the minutes until it is time to go pick him up. Ok, I am. Aeva-Grace is napping! lol

Big News!

The blog has been reopened to the public! Please, keep the stampede to a minimum! LOL Right! Cause I am sure that there are tons of people in cyberspace clamoring to read my musings. Mmmhmmm. Anyway, things are super exciting here. Corbin starts school tomorrow!! My baby is going into junior kindergarten. I can't believe it. Where has the time gone??? I am off to bed to cry myself to sleep, as my self proclaimed "big kid" prepares for his first day.
